Pick, pack and ship DTC and B2B orders from controlled inventory
AM Services processes approved order instructions, picks the required inventory, packs to the defined channel requirements, prepares the carrier handoff and records the corresponding inventory deduction and available tracking information.
DTC and B2B orders can use the same inventory, but they do not always use the same packing rules. The warehouse needs a clear order source and the instructions that matter for that channel before the pick begins.
Order information should identify:
Order or reference number
Ship-to information
SKU and quantity
DTC or B2B order type when the distinction changes the handling
Required packaging, carton or insert instructions
Carrier or service instructions when already determined
Any customer, retailer or wholesale routing information included in the agreed scope
Pick, pack and prepare the outbound handoff
The warehouse picks against the available inventory record, confirms the required quantity and packs the order according to the approved instruction. Missing stock, an unclear SKU or another exception is flagged before the order is treated as complete.
Typical outbound work can include:
SKU and quantity pick
DTC parcel packing
B2B carton preparation
Approved insert or packing-material handling
Shipping-label application
Carton count and outbound reference check
Handoff to the selected carrier or pickup process
Close the order with inventory and tracking context
An order is not operationally complete just because a carton has been taped. The picked quantity needs to be deducted from the correct inventory record and the outbound reference should be retained so the team can trace what left the warehouse.
AM Services records the outbound handoff and available tracking information within the agreed workflow. Carrier transit time, delivery attempts and final-mile performance remain subject to the carrier and service selected.
